Have you ever thought what it should be after death?
In Chinese culture, dead people' soul would eliminate from their bodies, and stay in the human world for several days, then the Underworld (陰曹地府 Yīncáo dìfǔ)'s policemen 黑白無常(Hēibái wúcháng) would lead the soul to the Underworld (陰曹地府 Yīncáo dìfǔ).
However, the way to the Underworld (陰曹地府 Yīncáo dìfǔ) is challenging, the soul need to pass several checkpoints, then they are able to reach the destination. If you wish to know more, please reference the video below.
【correction】黑白無常(Hēibái wúcháng) would "lead" the soul to the underworld.
